Speedflex rolls out new workout challenges to boost member engagement for gym operators
Speedflex has launched a new series of workout challenges, designed to increase member motivation, engagement and community within gyms across the country. The new Speedflex challenges expand on the brand’s extensive library of trainer-led workouts to create measurable, engaging experiences for members.
Challenges such as ‘Flex Together’ partner workout where members go head-to-head with a training partner to achieve the highest rep count, give participants a fun and competitive way to push their personal limits and achieve their fitness goals. Challenges also make use of the Blade’s additional features like the timers and stopwatch, and exercise library, optimising the user experience. At the same time, these challenges provide gym operators with a powerful tool to drive engagement, encourage repeat visits and strengthen their gym community.
As part of every install, Speedflex gives operators access to its Marketing Portal, housing the downloadable challenges, and a myriad of other assets and guides to help market and promote the Blade in-club. James Smith, Director of Sales at Speedflex, said: “We’re excited to be rolling out more Speedflex challenges for gyms using the Blade. Seeing gyms use these challenges to bring members together, encourage consistency and create a real sense of community is something we’re incredibly proud of. It’s all about making training more engaging and helping operators keep their members coming back.”
By introducing clear, achievable goals, the new Speedflex challenges will help motivate members to track progress, beat personal bests and return to the gym regularly. The inclusion of trainer-led workouts and real-time feedback supports members throughout their training, helping to maintain motivation and consistency. In addition, the social media element of the challenges enables members to share their achievements online, increasing visibility for operators and highlighting active, engaged gym communities without the need for additional marketing activity.
Speedflex plans to roll out even more Challenges on their social channels in the coming months, providing Blade operators with engaging, community-focused tools designed to enhance their member experience and maximise the impact of the Blade on their gym floors.

Members of all ages and fitness levels take part and thanks to the unique Speedflex concept it’s a real level playing field, rewarding effort over ability.
We’re proud to have such an inclusive fitness competition which represents our whole member demographic and fitness ethos.”
– Matt Hague, regional fitness business manager, Everyone Active
The workout is both safe and inclusive which makes it the perfect fit for our diverse range of customers. Our guests can now enjoy a revolutionary fitness experience during their stay, reaffirming our commitment to offering the best amenities and services at The QHotels Collection."
– Keith Pickard, group director of golf, health club and spa, The QHotels Collection
Many operators have machines which are challenging for certain demographics of our community to use, least of all our seniors! But Speedflex is different. I have seen customers approach it for the first time, play on the screen and easily start a workout, and better still, they say their joints didn't hurt either.
Whilst many operators would put two units next to a rig, we have one in an open space and another in a quiet space; more private, less on show. It’s this unit the majority of individual users go to. Yes, the studio classes are better for having one but don’t rule out having one as part of your special populations area too.
I was surprised how well Speedflex sits in both camps. HIIT Without the HURT, perfect for classes and studio but equally as good for seniors to do those all-important compound movements; Osteoporosis fighting, strength training. Riskfree."
