press release: Speedflex (UK & Ireland) Limited
Speedflex partners with Gym Possible to expand inclusive training for wheelchair users
Speedflex has teamed up with Gym Possible, the UK-based charity gym dedicated to making exercise accessible for people with physical disabilities, with a clear focus on adaptive equipment, expert coaching and accessible programming. As part of the partnership, Gym Possible has introduced the Speedflex Blade to its training offering, recognising the Blade’s unique ability to deliver safe, effective and engaging workouts for wheelchair users.
For Gym Possible members, the Blade supports upper body and core strength, cardiovascular conditioning and functional movement in a format that is both adaptable and confidence-building. Exercises can be performed safely from a seated position, with smooth resistance and real-time feedback helping members focus on movement quality and effort rather than limitations.
Drew Graham, founder of Gym Possible, explains: “We’re always on the lookout for equipment that is wheelchair-accessible for our members, and the Blade definitely fits the bill. Upon testing it, I was particularly impressed by the ability to adjust resistance separately for upward and downward movements. This feature makes it ideal for people with reduced arm strength, allowing them to work within their own capabilities while still progressing. I think it will be especially useful for our members to build cardiovascular fitness and to perform exercises such as shoulder presses and RDLs in a safe and accessible way.”
From Speedflex’s perspective, the partnership reinforces the brand’s commitment to inclusive design and accessible innovation. By working with specialist operators like Gym Possible, Speedflex aims to demonstrate how thoughtfully designed equipment can open up high-quality training to a wider range of users, including those who are often underserved by traditional gym environments.
As Gym Possible continues to lead the way in adaptive fitness, and Speedflex continues to develop technology designed to work with every body, the partnership stands as a clear statement of intent: fitness should be accessible, empowering and inclusive for everyone.
James Smith, Director of Sales, UK, says “We’re incredibly proud to be partnering with Gym Possible and to see the Speedflex Blade being used in such a meaningful way. Gym Possible is doing truly inspiring work to make fitness accessible for wheelchair users, and that mission aligns perfectly with what we stand for. Seeing members build strength, confidence and cardiovascular fitness in a way that works for them is exactly why partnerships like this matter so much to us.”

The workout is both safe and inclusive which makes it the perfect fit for our diverse range of customers. Our guests can now enjoy a revolutionary fitness experience during their stay, reaffirming our commitment to offering the best amenities and services at The QHotels Collection."
– Keith Pickard, group director of golf, health club and spa, The QHotels Collection
Many operators have machines which are challenging for certain demographics of our community to use, least of all our seniors! But Speedflex is different. I have seen customers approach it for the first time, play on the screen and easily start a workout, and better still, they say their joints didn't hurt either.
Whilst many operators would put two units next to a rig, we have one in an open space and another in a quiet space; more private, less on show. It’s this unit the majority of individual users go to. Yes, the studio classes are better for having one but don’t rule out having one as part of your special populations area too.
I was surprised how well Speedflex sits in both camps. HIIT Without the HURT, perfect for classes and studio but equally as good for seniors to do those all-important compound movements; Osteoporosis fighting, strength training. Riskfree."
