press release: Speedflex (UK & Ireland) Limited
Village Health and Wellness Clubs’ inclusive studio classes with Speedflex technology
Village Health and Wellness Clubs deliver high-energy group training in their Burn Studio classes, and since the introduction of Speedflex’s adaptive resistance technology into the programme the classes have become even more inclusive and versatile, attracting a broader range of members than ever before. The sessions appeal to not only beginners who may have previously felt intimidated by traditional weights areas, but also a growing number of women looking for strength-focused training in a supportive environment, as well as members returning from injury who value the joint-friendly adaptive resistance.
At the heart of the Burn Studio offering at Village Health and Wellness Clubs are the Box N’ Burn Classes, which blend boxing-inspired conditioning with Speedflex’s signature high-intensity, low-impact resistance training. Members have started to take the skills and confidence gained in these classes and apply them beyond the studio - incorporating Speedflex into their wider training routines for metabolic conditioning, strength endurance, or active recovery. This demonstrates not only the versatility of the technology but also how it has become a trusted, accessible, and sustainable part of members’ overall fitness journeys.
For the Village trainers, the biggest benefit they’ve observed is the transformation that their members have been able to achieve through consistency. Ben Edwards, national fitness manager at Village Health and Wellness Clubs said: "When members commit to regular Speedflex Box N’ Burn Sessions, we’ve seen them not only become fitter but also stronger, more confident and more resilient in every area of their lives. Seeing members improve week after week, without the setbacks often associated with traditional weight training has been incredibly rewarding.
"Additionally, the unique, adaptive resistance system of Speedflex allows us to train complete beginners, seasoned athletes, and individuals returning from injury all within the same class without compromising intensity or safety, meaning that we are able to deliver elite level sessions that are powerful but also joint friendly and accessible.”
The success of these classes lies in the unique combination of innovation, community and results-driven training. By blending the science-backed Speedflex resistance system with high-energy, technique-led boxing movements, the programme has delivered a workout that feels dynamic and engaging while still being structured and purposeful. It’s a rare balance in the fitness industry - sessions that are challenging and effective, but also accessible and safe for a wide range of participants.
Paul Ferris, Speedflex CEO and founder, said: “It’s incredibly rewarding to see Speedflex machines being used in a way that genuinely transforms how people experience training. Our technology is designed to make high-intensity training more accessible, inclusive and sustainable, and it’s fantastic to see that vision brought to life through the Box N’ Burn classes that are helping such a wide range of members train confidently, consistently and get the results they want.”

The workout is both safe and inclusive which makes it the perfect fit for our diverse range of customers. Our guests can now enjoy a revolutionary fitness experience during their stay, reaffirming our commitment to offering the best amenities and services at The QHotels Collection."
– Keith Pickard, group director of golf, health club and spa, The QHotels Collection
Many operators have machines which are challenging for certain demographics of our community to use, least of all our seniors! But Speedflex is different. I have seen customers approach it for the first time, play on the screen and easily start a workout, and better still, they say their joints didn't hurt either.
Whilst many operators would put two units next to a rig, we have one in an open space and another in a quiet space; more private, less on show. It’s this unit the majority of individual users go to. Yes, the studio classes are better for having one but don’t rule out having one as part of your special populations area too.
I was surprised how well Speedflex sits in both camps. HIIT Without the HURT, perfect for classes and studio but equally as good for seniors to do those all-important compound movements; Osteoporosis fighting, strength training. Riskfree."
