press release: EGYM UK Ltd
EGYM Hussle and Freedom Leisure unite to strengthen corporate fitness offering and ‘strengthen lives through leisure’ across the UK
EGYM Hussle and Freedom Leisure have entered a long-term partnership arrangement, which will see over 100 of Freedom Leisure’s wellness centres added to its market-leading UK fitness marketplace.
With fantastic venues situated across the UK, this represents a significant growth opportunity for the corporate fitness market.
Freedom Leisure’s venues will become available to EGYM Hussle’s B2B member base, consisting of employees at companies who invest in the wellness of their staff and the customers of healthcare providers (such as AXA Health and Bupa) who provide subsidised fitness access as part of their overall offering.
The collaboration aims to drive increased participation in fitness, as part of EGYM Hussle’s overarching mission in the preventative healthcare space. Freedom Leisure’s venues join a rapidly growing network of 1,500+ UK gyms, pools and spas, including leading brands such as Nuffield Health, Everyone Active, Fitness First, and a diverse portfolio of independent gyms, public-run leisure centres and boutique venues.
James Crossland, director of operations at EGYM Hussle expressed his excitement upon confirmation of the partnership: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Freedom Leisure, one of the UK’s leading not-for-profit leisure operators, whose mission to improve health and wellbeing strongly aligns with our own. With a broad portfolio of community-focused leisure venues and a clear commitment to accessibility and inclusion, Freedom Leisure is a natural partner for us. We’re excited to support their ambition to make physical activity more accessible and to help extend the reach of their facilities to even more people across the UK.”
Emma Reeve, commercial director at Freedom Leisure, said: “Partnering with EGYM Hussle is a fantastic opportunity to extend the reach of our centres and help more people access the benefits of physical activity. Together, we’re making it easier for people in our communities to prioritise their health and wellbeing.”
The EGYM Hussle offering is becoming increasingly appealing to a full variety of fitness operators seeking to add new streams of revenue within a competitive fitness industry. Once known for its direct-to-consumer (B2C) model, Hussle has pivoted to focus exclusively on business-to-business (B2B) partnerships. This provides the venues on Hussle’s network with an incremental revenue scheme, unlocking access to additional members, whom they would not otherwise gain access to.
All of EGYM Hussle’s partner venues benefit from free marketing via a dedicated website, and in doing so, become part of a wider mission to improve health and wellbeing across the nation.
