press release: EGYM UK Ltd
Fitness First to roll out EGYM Genius AI in all German studios by summer 2026
Fitness First is consistently pushing ahead with the digitalisation of its training support, and following a successful pilot phase, the company will gradually introduce the AI-supported training solution EGYM Genius AI in all of its 220 Fitness First clubs across Germany by summer 2026. As one of the country’s largest gym chains, Fitness First is setting new standards for personalised, data-based training in Germany.
Fitness First launched a pilot phase with EGYM Genius AI in selected clubs in mid-2025. At the same time, the company acquired the FIT/One fitness chain and was faced with the task of quickly bringing training support and planning quality up to Fitness First standards. EGYM Genius AI supported the training teams in particular with onboarding, the creation and continuous adaptation of high-quality, individual training plans, and helps to reduce administrative processes, leaving more time for personal support.
The introduction of Genius AI was already strategically planned before the integration of the FIT/One locations, and gained additional momentum through the expansion. The rollout is taking place gradually in clusters of several studios at a time, ensuring training quality, employee qualification and operational processes.
Johannes Maßen, Managing Director of Fitness First & COO of the LifeFit Group, says: “With the national rollout of EGYM Genius AI at Fitness First, we are taking personalised training to a new level. The AI-supported solution creates individual training plans that dynamically adapt to the goals, performance level and progress of our members – whether the focus is on strength, endurance or health. At the same time, EGYM Genius AI significantly reduces the administrative workload for our trainers, creating more space for personalised support, quality of movement and genuine motivation.
“Our mission at Fitness First is to motivate people and make fitness an integral part of their everyday lives. EGYM Genius AI supports us perfectly in this because it intelligently combines individualisation, efficiency and training quality, enabling sustainable training success.”
With the comprehensive use of EGYM Genius AI, Fitness First is strengthening the scalability of its training concepts. The solution enables the uniform implementation of quality standards and support processes across 220 locations in Germany, ensuring a consistent training experience throughout the entire network.
Philipp Roesch-Schlanderer, CEO of EGYM, says: “Fitness First's decision to roll out EGYM Genius AI across the board is a strong signal for the future viability of data-based training support. Our networked ecosystem supports operators and teams in simplifying processes, consistently scaling training quality and noticeably reducing the workload of trainers in their day-to-day work. Especially in large location networks, this helps to reliably organise high-level support while creating more time for personal work with members.
“The introduction of EGYM Genius AI in all Fitness First studios marks an important milestone in our long-standing partnership and underlines the growing importance of AI-supported training planning in modern fitness concepts.”
