PRESS RELEASE

Speedflex launch success at Regen independent gym

05 Nov 2025
Regen Independent Gym / Speedflex
The successful launch of the Speedflex Blade at 'Regen', an independent, community-focused London based gym marks the beginning of a new phase in Speedflex’s mission to bring high-intensity, low-impact training to more communities across the UK. The launch of Blades at Regen’s Streatham and Croydon locations is a fantastic step into introducing the iconic Speedflex technology into more independent gyms across the country. This is a development that will ensure that even more people will be able to have access to the inclusive and accessible high-intensity low-impact workouts that Speedflex is known for.

“We’ve had the Speedflex Blade installed at two of our sites for just under two months now, and honestly, it’s been a real game-changer” says Faaris Merali, Owner and Founder of Regen London, “From day one, it has stood out, raised eyebrows, and had people stopping mid-walk to check it out...even jogging over the second it became free. It’s not often to see a bit of kit create that kind of buzz, especially across different locations. But the Blade stands out not just visually, but in how it functions. It’s seriously versatile and works just as well for solo sessions as it does in PT-led workouts or even as part of a class circuit (which we’ve now started to introduce). If you’re after something new that hits hard on engagement and gives serious bang for your buck, this is it.”

As part of the launch, the Speedflex team worked closely with Regen Founder, Faaris, and his team to roll out the Blades across both sites in September, with hands-on training days being supplied by Speedflex’s Master Trainers to ensure that the Regen team and its members were able to get the most out of the Blades installed into their gym. With Faaris himself being a dedicated and hands-on founder, who has created a truly supportive community environment within his gyms, the fact that both his staff and the gym’s members have all highlighted how perfectly the Blade fits the ethos of the independent gym, by offering innovative, inclusive and results-driven technology that is able to further motivate and support the community of Regen is a great testament to the impact a Speedflex Blade can have on any gym floor.

“We’re thrilled to see the Blade launch at Regen off to such a strong start, and we are even more delighted by the positive response from members” says Sophie Planes, Sales Manager at Speedflex UK, “Faaris has built an exceptional community-focused environment across his gyms, and with the Blade’s inclusive, accessible technology paired with the dedicated support we provide our operators, we’re confident that this success will only continue to grow. We have loved partnering with independent gyms like Regen, and we’re excited to bring our Blade technology to many more forward-thinking independents across the country.”

As with all installs, Speedflex continues to provide Regen with 1-2-1 support, access to marketing resources, as well as ongoing guidance to ensure that the gym’s experience with the Blade remains seamless and impactful.

Testimonial
"Jubilee Hall Trust has been pleasantly surprised with the Speedflex units. Not because of how good they are, the ease of use and the smoothness of movement - we knew they were good! We were surprised by how many of our senior customers used it, intuitively and without prompt.
Many operators have machines which are challenging for certain demographics of our community to use, least of all our seniors! But Speedflex is different. I have seen customers approach it for the first time, play on the screen and easily start a workout, and better still, they say their joints didn't hurt either.
Whilst many operators would put two units next to a rig, we have one in an open space and another in a quiet space; more private, less on show. It’s this unit the majority of individual users go to. Yes, the studio classes are better for having one but don’t rule out having one as part of your special populations area too.
I was surprised how well Speedflex sits in both camps. HIIT Without the HURT, perfect for classes and studio but equally as good for seniors to do those all-important compound movements; Osteoporosis fighting, strength training. Riskfree."

– Jon Giles, chief executive, Jubilee Hall Trust
