The fastest growing gym chain based out of the GCC has appointed Keepme’s CEO, Ian Mullane to its board of directors.

Ian has invaluable experience within the fitness sector, specifically as it relates to the application of emerging technologies, and this is the knowledge that GymNation will hope to leverage as it propels its offering further.

GymNation opened the doors of its first fitness facility in 2017, and has undergone rapid growth since then, establishing itself as a prominent fitness destination in the GCC area. By the end of 2024, it will manage 25 gyms across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with additional expansion in the pipeline. This rapid growth is in line with GymNation's vision to become the ‘Regions Movement Partner’ and contribute to Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 agenda, focusing on economic diversification and enhancing quality of life.

Ian Mullane expressed his enthusiasm about joining the GymNation Board - "Since the launch of Gymnation back in 2018, I have been hugely impressed with their impressive growth journey. Their commitment to the innovative use of technology and dedication to member experience are truly exceptional. I am excited to be part of their journey going forward, and to help steer GymNation towards even greater success," Mullane said.

Ian's extensive experience in implementing AI-driven solutions is set to significantly propel GymNation's growth trajectory forward. With his expertise and advice, GymNation aims to foster innovation and remain at the forefront of technological advancements in the fitness industry.

Since its launch, GymNation has been committed to enhancing its services and offerings, ultimately contributing to its mission of promoting happiness and wellness across the GCC region. With Ian's acumen GymNation will be able to harness the latest advances in technology to help aid its goal of keeping individuals in the region healthier and happier, further solidifying its position as a leader in the fitness industry.

Loren Holland, CEO of GymNation, commented on Ian's appointment, saying - "We are incredibly pleased to welcome Ian to the GymNation Board of Directors. His vast experience as both an operator and supplier provide him with a granular view of the challenges faced in our sector and how they can be overcome using technology. Ian’s insight and guidance will be instrumental in our mission to make GymNation not just the best fitness operator within the GCC but the global leader in the adoption and utilization of technology and data within the industry."

The role of GymNation Board Member requires an experienced individual well-versed in regional nuances and adept at integrating cutting-edge technologies into the fitness sector. Ian's establishment of Keepme, an AI-driven fitness solutions platform in 2019, highlights his expertise in leveraging emerging technologies to optimize efficiency in the industry.

With Keepme now serving clients worldwide, employing machine learning and large language models daily, Ian exhibits exceptional foresight in applying emerging technology to the fitness sector. His unique insight makes him a valuable asset to the board, aligning perfectly with their vision for innovation and growth.

Chief Technology and Innovation Officer at GymNation, Karl Foster, welcomed Ian to the Board with these words - "Ian's track record in implementing AI for business efficiency and member satisfaction will be a significant boost to our plans of continuing to innovate and lead in our field. I look forward to working closely with Ian, building on his expertise to further integrate cutting-edge technology into our operations"

As GymNation aims for rapid expansion, Mullane's appointment signifies a strategic move following the management buyout of JD Gyms. With 12 new locations planned for 2024, GymNation's growth trajectory is set, bolstered by Mullane's expertise and strategic guidance.

Ian's addition to the Board comes at a pivotal moment, complementing GymNation's mission to make fitness accessible, affordable, and enjoyable for all in the region. With a focus on innovation and customer-centricity, GymNation is poised to continue to lead the way in the GCC fitness industry under Mullane's guidance.

Testimonial
"Before the team had access to Keepme, we faced several challenges. One of the main issues is that leads were arriving into multiple systems and inboxes, making it very difficult to manage and keep track of leads. This was time-consuming and challenging in terms of maintaining an efficient workflow and responding to enquiries/potential opportunities effectively."

– Darryl Dewar, group sales & customer experience manager, BH Live Active

"What Keepme uniquely offers is the ability to integrate with any fitness industry software platform that has an API...Keepme gives us one seamless digital process and frees our customer experience teams to focus on our members. We have greater customer insights - and no need to download reports, upload triggers, or prepare communications.”

– Gareth Bacon, head of product, Wellfit
Testimonial
"If you have tried some of the AI content tools on the market, you will find the results are never quite right. So, once I heard that Keepme was coming out with their content creator tool, I had very low expectations. But I have been pleasantly surprised by the diversity with this tool! I have played around with the “tone of voice” and it is spot on."
