Warwick Sports is looking for a knowledgeable and passionate individual to join their team as Membership Manager.
Back in 2019 Warwick University opened its doors to state-of-the-art sports facilities with the opening of our Sports and Wellness Hub. World Class facilities that include a 12 lane, 25 metre Swimming Pool, Modern 230-station Gym, multi-purpose sports halls and one of the largest indoor climbing walls in the UK.

Warwick Sports mission is to inspire and motivate students, staff, and the wider community to engage in an active lifestyle that supports physical and mental well-being helping to support the University of Warwick’s vision towards building the most active campus community in the UK.
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join our team at Warwick Sports with your main responsibilities being to achieve agreed sales and retention targets for memberships and other Warwick Sport products, maintain the reputation and standing of the University of Warwick as a leading Sports venue, achieve a high level of repeat business and member retention, and gain an in depth and comprehensive knowledge of customers.
Working collaboratively with other areas of Warwick Sports you will be supporting the customer journey and implementing agreed interventions to improve member retention and enhance customer satisfaction.
You will be working with Marketing to help grow and develop Warwick Sport’s membership base, working on campaign plans, attending exhibitions and outreach activities to promote Warwick sports leading facilities.
Leading a small team, you will lead by example highlighting and building communities to with new initiatives that will attract and retain members.
It will be necessary, on occasions, for the post holder to work outside normal office hours including some work in the evenings and at 1 working weekend per month.

Skills and Experience
• Educated to HND, BSc or BA level, or equivalent industry experience.
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge and in depth understanding of the leisure industry and pricing structures, by creating strategies from data analysis.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that are demonstrated both within the office environment and with potential and established customers.
• Good local knowledge of University of Warwick, Warwick Sport facilities, local leisure competitors and market positioning.
• Ability to identify and convert potential enquiries to members by maximising all potential sales opportunities.
• Ability to foster relationships within the team whilst providing support and maintaining a positive and encouraging attitude.
• Excellent networking ability and negotiating skills.
• Demonstrate professional standard of written and verbal communication.
• Competent use and prior knowledge of all relevant IT software packages.
