New leisure centre for Kettering

A planning application has been lodged with Kettering Borough Council for the construction of a new leisure centre at Grange Estate in Desborough.
If approved, phase one of the leisure centre will comprise a four-court badminton sports hall, a 125sq m (1,345sq ft) gym and changing rooms, complemented by two outside play areas, a multi-use games area (MUGA) and 47 parking spaces.
Phase two will provide four additional changing rooms for external users, two squash courts, a 173sq m (1,860sq ft) fitness club and two junior football pitches.
Desborough General Partner will construct the first phase, while the subsequent phase will be constructed by the council.
