Maypole sees slight recovery
Pub hotel operator Maypole Group saw a slight recovery in its trading during the first half of this year.
Reporting its interim results for the six months to 30 June 2009, the group announced that it had managed to return an operating profit of £140,000, after recording losses of £119,000 in the same period last year.
Revenues fell back to £2,6m from £2.9m the year before, although this was largely due to the offloading of the 32-bedroom Wroxton House Hotel near Banbury. Like for like revenue increased by £121,000.
Maypole Group was founded in 2003 and currently runs six gastro pub which offer accommodation.
