case study: Bodyworld
Bodyworld opened its first gym in Taunton in 2016. Its aim was to deliver a modern and well-equipped training environment that brings together multi-disciplined training methods under the same roof. Its focus is on creating a positive, disciplined, and community-based training environment, a place where people can come to train with like-minded people and be treated with respect regardless of training discipline or goals—we are the home of the Dedicated and Determined.

“Expanding to a second gym in Plymouth was built on the success of Taunton, giving us a blank canvas to take the lessons we have learned so far and build the best training facility that we can. We believe that our approach to training, the quality and range of equipment, engaging staff, and an excellent membership community are the keys to our success so far and the foundation for our future plans."

Bodyworld showcases all five of the Core Health & Fitness brands. This includes Star Trac FreeRunners, Stair Master 10G’s, Schwinn AC Power bikes, a wide variety of Nautilus Strength products, and not one but two Throwdown rigs.

They chose Core for several reasons, the main one being that they were able to get the majority of the equipment they wanted from one place at a competitive price. The Star Trac and Stairmaster brands have been big favourites of their members in the Taunton gym, so they were keen to make them a central part of the new gym in Plymouth.

Schwinn was a natural choice for indoor bikes, and they have been really pleased with the AC Power bikes in their classes. Throwdown became available in the UK as they were looking to equip the functional areas. Throwdown rigs are a central focus of their functional areas, providing multiple options for workouts during HIIT classes.

As a gym, they have a strength and resistance focus, so choosing the right plate-loaded equipment was important. They were really impressed by the focus that Nautilus places on the smooth and intuitive way each piece of equipment functions, so they consequently bought most of the range! They are proud to be a Nautilus Trusted Strength Centre, and their members are really enjoying the kit.
