Core Health & Fitness Hosts the 3rd Annual StairMaster 9/11 Memorial Climb

08 Sep 2023
The StairMaster 9/11 Memorial Climb will take place at the Core Health & Fitness Innovation Center in Lake Forest, California on Sunday, September 10th, 2023 / Core Health & Fitness
Core Health & Fitness, is honored to host the StairMaster 9/11 Memorial Climb at the Core Health & Fitness Innovation Center in Lake Forest, California for the third year in a row on Sunday, September 10th, 2023. In remembrance of the 343 firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty on September 11, 2001, people all over the nation have paid tribute for more than two decades. This year, we are inviting our customers and partners to join us in hosting their own climb to raise support for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF).

Our goal is to commemorate those we have lost and celebrate those who make a difference each day in serving their community. We are extending the opportunity to join the StairMaster 9/11 Memorial Climb with our customers and partners. With an outpouring of interest in how to get involved, we are thrilled to be the connection to support others in making this a live event at their locations. Hosting a climb is an excellent way to support communities and allow people to show their support for those who serve. Core Health & Fitness will be providing several assets to assist clubs, fitness centers, and studios to promote this special event. Connect with your local Core rep to get involved in the climb and support this important cause.

Memorial Climbs happen annually during September weekends in stadiums, event centers, workplaces, and fitness facilities all over the country. These centers draw in first responders and civilians from all walks of life who want to climb the 110 floors representing the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center and commemorate the sacrifice the 343 fallen firefighters made on 9/11. Many first responders add significance to their climb by wearing full gear. Everyone is provided with the picture and name of one of the 343, so that with every step they are honored. Upon completion of the climb, the climber reads off the name and rings the bell to ensure we never forget. Unique to the StairMaster Memorial Climb is the ability to climb the stairs side-by-side and engage with supporters on the sidelines.

Core is proud to have continued to host this event with our team members throughout the United States and extended support from our global team in Germany and the United Kingdom. Thanks to firemen Kevin Welsh and Nole Lilly, we have teamed up with the Fire Up Program to bring in members of LA Fire, OC Fire, Redlands Fire, and Redlands PD. We hope to continue to raise awareness and fundraise to benefit the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF), our designated non-profit partner. To date, Core has raised more than $13,000 and looks to grow support and awareness for this worthy cause.

Plans for the next 12 months
We are celebrating StairMaster’s 40th anniversary and launching the StairMaster 4G. Designed to fit perfectly into hospitality and multihousing training centres, the 4G is the StairMaster solution when size matters!

Star Trac launches the Virtual Bike, the most versatile bike, giving the rider an unlimited experience. The Virtual Bike is purpose-built to withstand the rigours of a commercial cardio floor and meet the needs of non-staffed vertical market spaces such as hospitality and multi-housing amenity centres.

Core offers more customisation options with Throwdown rigs that are built-to-fit for a standout piece that optimises space. The total-body workout on the HIIT Ski and HIIT Rower brings the natural mobility of sport to the training zone.

Together with our partners, we create the best fitness offerings with the most recognised brands worldwide.

Testimonial
“We chose Core Health & Fitness for several reasons, the main one was that we were able to get the majority of the equipment we wanted from one place at a competitive price.

The Star Trac and Stairmaster brands have been big favourites of our members in our Taunton gym so we were keen to make them a central part of our new gym in Plymouth.

Schwinn was a natural choice for our indoor bikes and we’ve been really pleased with the AC Power in our classes.

Throwdown became available as we were looking to equip our functional areas, we took a gamble on the rigs and it paid off. Our HIIT classes and functional areas have the rigs as a central focus providing multiple options for each workout.

As a gym we have a strength and resistance focus so choosing the right plate loaded equipment was really important, we were really impressed by the focus that Nautilus places on the smooth and intuitive way each piece of equipment functions so we bought most of the range! We are proud to be a Nautilus Trusted Strength Centre and our members are really enjoying the kit.”
