Hilton Hotels Corporation (HHC) has signed a franchise agreement with JSC Sadko Hotel for its first property in Russia.
The 275-room Hilton Moscow Leningradskaya is set to re-open in mid-2007, following a major refurbishment.
Interstate Management Services – a wholly owned subsidiary of US hotel management company Interstate Hotels & Resorts – will operate the hotel.
Interstate currently operates more than 260 hotels in North America and Europe, including around 80 hotels under Hilton brands.
Wolfgang Neumann, Hilton’s area president for Europe and Africa, said: “This marks an important step in the continuing growth of the Hilton’s family of brands into emerging international markets like Russia.”
