Ascot brings in consultants to address visibility complaints
Ascot racecourse has called in consultants Arup and High-Point Rendel to discuss how to provide a solution to the more than 1,000 complaints it has received about viewing problems from its new £200m grandstand.
The consultancy firms will be working with HOK Sport, the company that designed the stand, to try and remedy the reported lack of visibility from certain areas.
Nick Smith, head of public relations at Ascot, said: “We’re looking at options to address the viewing issues. Plans should be made public by the end of the year.”
The new-look racecourse, which was built by Laing O’Rourke, was officially opened by the Queen at Royal Ascot on 20 June this year.
