PRESS RELEASE
TMActive launches power-assisted exercise studio to support active ageing
22 May 2026
Launch of TM Active's power-assisted exercise studio / Innerva
TMActive has officially opened its first power-assisted exercise studio with support from Innerva. The new Active Wellbeing Studio has been created to support active ageing, rehabilitation and reduce social isolation in the community.
Located at the Angel Centre in Tonbridge, Kent, the studio features nine power-assisted exercise machines from Innerva along with the new Innerva Connect application, which makes movement easier, safer and more inclusive for people of all abilities. The purpose-designed space offers Tonbridge and Malling residents a guided and confidence building experience at every stage of their wellbeing journey, whether they are new to exercise, recovering from injury or living with a chronic health condition.
Jon Hymus, managing director at Innerva, said: “We’ve been delighted to work with TMActive to bring this vision to life. This fantastic new space reflects a strong commitment to helping more people become active, particularly those who may face barriers to traditional exercise.”
Councillor Des Keers from Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council, representatives from Innerva, TMActive Trustees, Active Kent & Medway, Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust and Neuro Rehabilitation Kent came together to celebrate the launch of the facility, which aims to deliver long-term health and wellbeing benefits for the local community.
Russell Kent, business development manager at TMActive, said: “We are incredibly proud to see the Active Wellbeing Studio now open and being used by our community. Having worked closely with Innerva and seen the positive impact this equipment can have, we know this space will support people to become more active, improve their wellbeing, and feel more connected.”
