Pure Energy Music announces new partnership with The Bannatyne Group

16 Jan 2026
Pure Energy Music and The Bannatyne Group / Pure Energy Music

Pure Energy Music, the UK’s leading provider of music designed specifically for the fitness and leisure industry, is delighted to announce a new three year partnership with The Bannatyne Group. The agreement marks a major step forward in enhancing the music experience across Bannatyne’s group exercise offering.

Following a successful trial across eight sites, Bannatyne has now onboarded 66 clubs, integrating Pure Energy Music into the majority of its group exercise timetable. The partnership gives both employed and freelance instructors seamless access to Pure Energy Music’s innovative app, web player, and extensive Music catalogue optimised for fitness and wellbeing through class ready playlists and pre-mixed soundtracks. As part of the agreement, Bannatyne has also rolled out Pure Energy Music subscriptions as an added benefit for its instructors - a significant investment in supporting high quality class delivery.

Pure Energy Music has already curated a selection of bespoke music releases for Bannatyne’s in-house programmes, including the popular B.Fit format, ensuring instructors have soundtracks shaped specifically around the flow, tempo and energy profile of each class.

Andy Pickles, CEO of Pure Energy Music, said: “This partnership is a significant step for Pure Energy Music, and what stands out most is the way both teams have worked collaboratively over several months to deliver a successful implementation. We don’t offer a one-size-fits-all solution; instead, we work closely with our operator partners to understand their needs and shape a music and technology approach that supports instructors and delivers an outstanding experience for members. Following a strong period of planning and rollout, this renewed agreement allows us to continue collaborating and building on a partnership that is already delivering real value.”

Natasha Jones, National Fitness Coordinator at The Bannatyne Group, added: “The feedback from our instructors has been fantastic. They’ve told us the Pure Energy Music App is already transforming their classes - from HIIT to Pilates. The BPM function in particular has been described as a game changer, helping instructors deliver more tailored, high quality sessions. One instructor shared that members immediately noticed and praised the new music. To hear long standing freelancers say this is the best tool we’ve introduced in over 20 years speaks volumes.”

The early response has been overwhelmingly positive, with instructors praising both the ease of use and the improved class atmosphere. Several have noted an uplift in member engagement since switching to Pure Energy Music’s bespoke playlists.

This new partnership strengthens Pure Energy Music’s growing position as the preferred music provider for forward thinking fitness operators, continuing its mission to deliver high quality, legally compliant and instructor friendly music solutions for the UK fitness sector.
