press release: Pure Energy Music
Pure Energy Music announced as Official Music Partner for Deka Manchester 2026
Pure Energy Music, the complete music and technology solution for the fitness industry, has been announced as Official Music Partner for Deka Manchester 2026, bringing music curated for fitness to one of the UK's largest fitness racing weekends.
Taking place from 24th–26th July at Manchester Central Convention Complex, Deka Manchester will welcome athletes from across the UK, Europe, and beyond for three days of fitness racing, functional performance, and community-driven competition.
Created by the team behind Spartan, Deka has quickly established itself as one of the fastest-growing fitness racing formats worldwide. Built around measurable, repeatable challenges, it attracts everyone from first-time participants to elite athletes, all testing and progressing their fitness in a shared competitive environment.
As Official Music Partner, Pure Energy Music will soundtrack the event across competition floors, warm-up zones, and athlete spaces throughout the weekend, helping shape focus and energy across every stage of the experience.
Emily leRoux, vice president at Deka International, said: "Deka is about giving people the opportunity to challenge themselves, improve, and be part of something bigger. While performance sits at the heart of the event, it's the atmosphere that makes it truly memorable. Music plays a huge role in creating that energy from the moment athletes arrive. We're delighted to be partnering with Pure Energy Music for Deka Manchester 2026 and look forward to creating an unforgettable weekend for our athletes, spectators, and wider community."
Andy Pickles, CEO of Pure Energy Music, said: "Deka has created something really special. Their events are fast-paced, inclusive, and built around community. Our role is to support that environment with music engineered for movement and momentum."
"From the start line to the final stations, music helps shape rhythm, focus and intensity. It's not just about atmosphere - it supports how people perform in real time. We're proud to be partnering with Deka Manchester and excited to bring that to life across the weekend."
Throughout the weekend, Pure Energy Music will deliver a programme of music curated specifically for fitness, combining live DJ performances with purpose-built soundtracks designed to support movement, motivation and performance.
Friday's Deka Ignite competition will be powered by fitness event specialist Logun DJ, alongside a dedicated Power Hour hosted by Pure Energy Music CEO Andy Pickles. With more than 25 years' experience as an international DJ and producer, Andy has achieved 13 number one singles worldwide and co-founded the influential dance music label Tidy Trax, alongside a long-standing career touring globally as an artist. In his role at Pure Energy Music, he brings that music industry expertise into the fitness sector, helping shape how sound is used to support movement, performance, and experience.
Saturday's Deka Fit competition will feature live sets throughout the day from fitness DJs Zakk Wild and Tom Seed, both recognised worldwide for creating high-energy soundtracks tailored to training and competitive environments.
The weekend will culminate on Sunday with a specially curated Deka playlist built collaboratively by the Pure Energy Music team, DJs, and fitness professionals working together to shape the final day’s atmosphere.
DEKA Manchester will feature multiple race formats across the three-day event, including Deka Ignite, Deka Fit, Deka Fit Ultra and Deka Ruck, alongside family participation formats designed to make the event accessible to all ages and abilities.
The partnership reinforces Pure Energy Music's growing presence across major fitness events as the company continues to support operators, brands and communities through music curated for fitness and technology designed specifically for movement, performance and participation.
