press release: Pure Energy Music
Pure Energy Music expands platform with introduction of Pure Energy Covers
Pure Energy Music, the complete music and technology solution for the fitness industry, has expanded its platform with the introduction of Pure Energy Covers, an optional capability that extends music choice through familiar, professionally produced tracks tailored for fitness environments.
This development marks the continued evolution of Pure Energy Music as a leading platform for fitness operators, bringing together original music and familiar tracks re-engineered for fitness within a single, globally cleared system.
Pure Energy Covers introduces thousands of familiar tracks, expanding choice while maintaining a consistent approach to curation, delivery, and control. Fully integrated within the platform, it sits alongside Pure Energy Music’s core catalogue, enabling both original and familiar music to be programmed within one system.
Rather than a standalone product, Pure Energy Covers is a platform extension, giving operators flexibility to introduce familiarity where it enhances participation, while maintaining consistency, compliance, and control across sites, formats, and class types.
The result is familiar music reimagined for fitness, engineered to support movement, pacing, and class structure, while retaining the recognition and emotional connection of well-known tracks.
For Hannah Trigwell, director of marketing and experience at Pure Energy Music, the value of familiar music is closely tied to her own experience as a performing artist. Before joining the company, she built a successful international music career spanning original releases and covers, generating more than 40 million streams worldwide and achieving chart success across multiple regions.
Hannah commented: “I started touring across the UK, and then internationally through Europe and the Middle East. As my audience grew through YouTube, I was lucky enough to score two number one singles in South East Asia, along with a string of top 10 hits worldwide through a mix of original music and my takes on popular songs”.
Reflecting on her experience in music and its emotional impact, she added: “Music can completely shape a class - you notice it immediately when it’s missing. The right track doesn’t just fill the room; it pulls people together, sets the pace, and carries you through those tough moments. Having created music that connects with millions, I know how powerful that connection is. In fitness, it still matters deeply, but it has to be precise to maximise the workout. Familiar tracks can build confidence in the right moments, but the foundation of every great class is music designed for movement. When it’s done well, music doesn’t just lift a workout - it drives the entire experience.”
Together, Pure Energy Music and Pure Energy Covers create a unified platform approach that brings together original music designed for fitness programming, globally cleared content, familiar music re-engineered for fitness environments, and integrated technology for delivery and control within a single system.
Andy Pickles, CEO of Pure Energy Music, commented: “In studio cycling, long climbs rely on synchronicity between rider and soundtrack. In functional fitness and endurance formats, music needs to ebb and flow, creating space for recovery before building intensity again. When BPM, structure, and energy align with the workout, members feel guided rather than pushed, and energised rather than overwhelmed.
"That’s why everything we produce at Pure Energy Music is engineered for fitness first, with the option to introduce familiar, purpose-built covers where they add confidence and inclusion, without compromising performance.”
He added: “Covers are a precision tool. Original music remains the foundation for performance-led sessions, but in participation-focused classes, familiar tracks can build confidence and increase engagement. Pure Energy Covers give operators the flexibility to choose the right music for the right class, while maintaining consistency and quality across the timetable.”
By bringing together music curation, licensing, and technology in one place, the Pure Energy Music platform enables operators to deliver consistent, high quality music experiences across all classes, while retaining the flexibility to introduce familiarity where it adds value. As the platform continues to develop, Pure Energy Music remains focused on supporting fitness environments with purpose built music and technology designed for performance and participation.
