press release: Technogym UK Ltd
Great success for Technogym’s “Let’s Move & Donate Food” campaign: one million meals donated
Thanks to the participation of 150,000 people across 141 countries, the social campaign surpassed one billion Moves collected, which were converted into a donation of one million school meals to support children in need.
Technogym’s global social campaign “Let’s Move & Donate Food”, which ran from 10 to 27 March 2026, concluded with outstanding results, demonstrating the strength of the Technogym community and the value of a shared commitment to a healthier, more active and more inclusive future. The initiative—part of the long-term social project “Let’s Move for a Better World”—encouraged people worldwide to move more in order to contribute to the donation of school meals for children in need, through a partnership with the World Food Programme, the UN agency dedicated to food assistance.
From 10 to 27 March 2026, the “Let’s Move & Donate Food” campaign engaged the global Technogym community by inviting people to track their Moves—Technogym’s unit of movement— through the Technogym Digital Ecosystem to support the donation of school meals to children in need via the World Food Programme. 2,000 Moves corresponded to one donated meal, and the total generated by the community reached over 500,000 meals. To reward the enthusiasm and extraordinary participation of industry operators and end users, Technogym decided to double the contribution, bringing the total donation to one million school meals.
On June 3, on the occasion of the Let’s Move Conference at Technogym Village, in the presence of approximately 200 operators from 21 countries, Nerio Alessandri formalised the donation by presenting a cheque for one million school meals to Richard Wilcox, director of global partnerships at the World Food Programme.
Thanks to the campaign, anyone was able to take part and turn their physical activity into tangible social impact. Each workout contributed to the global challenge, demonstrating how movement can drive real change towards a healthier and more inclusive world.
Technogym has long promoted physical exercise as a fundamental tool for health, prevention and long-term wellbeing. In a world where sedentary lifestyles are increasing and the number of overweight people is more than double that of undernourished individuals, the campaign transformed excess “bad” calories into “good” calories donated to those most in need.
