Gladstone Software unveils School Swimming Module to streamline swim programme administration

Gladstone Software has announced the launch of its School Swimming Module, a purpose-built solution to simplify the management of school swimming programmes for leisure operators. The module provides a central, secure platform for schools and operators to manage pupil data, schedules, attendance, and performance reporting.

Designed to address the long-standing administrative challenges faced by school swim teams each academic year, the module replaces paper-based processes and disconnected systems with a single, integrated platform. Schools can upload pupil lists directly, track attendance and progress in real time, and access self-service tools, while operators benefit from accurate reporting and reduced administrative overhead.

Key features include:

Direct data upload and booking onto sessions by schools: Eliminates the need for operators to chase pupil lists and manage the booking of each session.

Live attendance and assessment tracking: Provides up-to-date progress data for accurate KPIs and compliance reporting.

Role-based permissions: Ensures GDPR-compliant access, allowing staff to view only relevant information.

School self-service tools: Reduces inbound queries and administrative burden for coordinators.

Unified school swim platform: Connects lesson delivery, communications, and reporting in one system.

The module also supports the broader sector goal of increasing swimming proficiency among primary school children. With one in three pupils in the UK leaving primary school unable to swim 25 metres, operators face growing pressure to deliver structured, high-quality swimming lessons. By reducing administrative complexity, the School Swimming Module allows staff to focus more time on improving access to swimming and supporting pupil achievement.

Lindsay Micklethwaite, Chief Product Officer of Gladstone Software, commented:

“This solution directly addresses the operational challenges our customers face in delivering school swimming programmes. By simplifying data management and reporting, we are enabling teams to focus on teaching and improving outcomes, rather than being tied up in administration.”

The School Swimming Module is available now available to all GoLearn customers, with a test environment provided for existing users to explore functionality before full implementation in live environments. Comprehensive configuration guides, template communications for schools, and product demos are available through the Gladstone Resource Hub.
