Lorna Macleod, former spa manager at The Spa Hotel at Ribby Hall Village, has joined the team at Kohler Waters Spa at the Old Course Hotel Golf Resort & Spa in St Andrews, Scotland.
Following the opening of the Wellness Centre at The Spa Hotel at Ribby Hall Village in February of this year – which Macleod had a central role in bringing to fruition – she has joined the only Kohler Waters Spa outside the US in pursuit of a new challenge.
The spa at this Scottish resort opened originally in March 2006. It offers bathing, hydrotherapy, facials, body treatments, massage, manicures and pedicures. The spa also has a gym and its instructors run a series of fitness classes.
“We will be looking to do amazing things here at the Kohler Waters Spa, it’s so great to be here,” said Macleod. Speaking exclusively to Spa Opportunities, Macleod added: "I am going to implement a holistic feeling of wellbeing at the property and hopefully make the Kohler Waters Spa a destination in its own right. St. Andrews is a golfing destination, however I am going to do my best to make it all about spa too."
Macleod brings more than 15 years of experience to the spa, having had roles in the sales and revenue departments within the spa industry. She also holds a High National Diploma in Sports Therapy – which will enable her to get to grips with the spa treatment menu that includes therapies designed to heal guests’ golfing injuries.
