The Recreation Managers’ Association of Great Britain (RMA of GB) and the Route Organisation have teamed up to create the British Institute of Club Management (BICM).
The BICM will support and represent leaders and managers of sports and social clubs and plans to develop more links with trade associates to give clubs access to new product development and enhanced expertise.
BICM chair Ian Campbell said: “Our organization will provide members with a more professional and proactive service to help meet the challenges of a changing market place through such diverse areas as licensing, gambling, new technology and product development. BICM will be a conduit for the transfer of best practice and will continue to be a communication network for all those involved in running clubs.”
Rob Morrall, managing director of Route, added: “Route is proud that BICM will be part of the range of services available to our customers. The licensing industry is changing and we will continue to lead from the front in our efforts to provide high levels of customer satisfaction.”
