Port Edgar Marina wins gold anchors
Port Edgar Marina has been awarded 4 gold anchors - an established industry award standard - as recognition of the quality of the facilities at the Edinburgh Leisure managed South Queensferry venue.
The awards, which indicate the quality of a marina and level of facilities available, were awarded following a recent inspection - and make Port Edgar the first marina in Scotland to be assessed by the scheme.
The Gold Anchor Award Scheme was been established to improve the standards of facilities available to all boat owners who use marina facilities.
Marina Operators who are Members of the Association may enter the Scheme for assessment. The level of the awards range from one to five Gold Anchors.
Adam Cruttenden, Manager of Port Edgar Marina, said: "We are delighted to receive four gold anchors and feel it is a great recognition of the excellent facilities offered to users of the Port Edgar Marina. We will continue to work hard to build on this fantastic result, which has been a combined effort from all involved."
The Gold Anchor Award Scheme is purely voluntary and is designed to bring the industry to the forefront of boating and to encourage better standards.
