Plans revealed for Nizuc spa resorts in Mexico
Mexico-based Las Brisa Hotel Collection is set to open a luxury hotel and spa on the coast of Riviera Maya, Mexico in March 2013.
Located on the Yucatan Peninsula, Nizuc Resort & Spa features 274 suites with private pool including 29 garden pool villas, 44 ocean suites and 201 residence suites
Spanning 30,000 sq ft (2,787sq m), Nizuc's spa will be the first ESPA-branded spa on the Yucatan Peninsula.
The spa will feature nine treatment rooms with showers and two private spa suites offering a mixture of Mayan and European-inspired treatments.
A steamroom, sauna, ice fountain, vitality pool, experience showers, relaxation pool and separate relaxation rooms will be on offer.
Each treatment begins with an organic tea ceremony and foot ritual consultation. Signature treatments include Mayan Cacao, which involves a massage using the Mexican cacao oil; the treatment ends with oil being poured onto the forehead to calm the mind.
Other treatments include Nizuc renewal and cellular enzyme facial.
The spa will also offer a five day health programme incorporating art therapy, music therapy, massage, Mayan abdominal, breath work, yoga and pilates.
Six restaurants will be housed at the resort including Traditional Mexican-inspired Ramona, Peruvian restaurant Ni and Indochine serving Asian cuisine.
Other facilities include five swimming pools, 8,497 sq ft (789 sq m) of meeting space, a ballroom and a drive in lobby.
