Ministry of sound to float

The Ministry of Sound, the nightclub and music busness run by James Palumbo, plans to float by the end of the year.
The company, which has £21m in the bank and is debt free, wants to raise funds for acquisitions in publishing, music and radio. Ministry has identified radio as the big area for expansion and has signed up with Alba to produce portable digital radios. It already owns a sizeable chunk od Spin Fm which launched in Dublin three weeks ago, as well as shares in two radio stations in Australia. Details: +44 (0)20 7378 6528
