Leisure-Inc to combat Bahrain child obesity
Leisure-Inc, the Bahrain-based leisure development and consultancy group, has added three new interactive fitness systems to its portfolio in a bid to help tackle child obesity.
The firm has entered into an exclusive agreement to distribute Dance Mats, Sport Wall and Expresso Bikes supplied by UK-based ZigZag. Leisure-Inc now hopes that the equipment will increase activity among young people in the Middle East state, with 33 per cent of children said to be considered obese.
"Children want to have fun rather than getting fit so our interactive systems for children incorporate group activity that is engaging fun, whilst at the same time, burns calories," said Leisure-Inc CEO Rohun Beven.
