Kirriemuir's Peter Pan play area opens
Angus Council has officially opened a new 'Neverland' play area in Kirriemuir, which has been inspired by the tales of Peter Pan.
The Kirrie Hill facility has been created in order to mark the 150th anniversary of author JM Barrie's birth, with a heritage and nature trail also developed. Dundee Plant Company delivered the £255,000 project, which has seen the construction of a play area designed with a Peter Pan theme.
A £60,000 contribution from the Rural Tayside LEADER programme helped fund the project, along with £30,000 from Angus Environmental Trust. Angus Council provided the remainder of the funding.
