Kent Sports Centre to unveil new facilities

The Folkestone Sports Centre in Kent is to launch its new Toboggan Slope and B-Fit Junior Gym on 26 April.
Funding for the new facilities came from public fundraising, Kent County Council and the Big Lottery’s Peoples Millions.
Tessa Stickler, general manager of the centre, said: “We’ve been working towards this for such a long time. We are very proud and extremely excited to be able to offer these fantastic facilities for young people.”
The Toboggan Slope was built by Snow Business, and the junior gym was equipped by Zig Zag.
The junior gym features dance mats, spin bikes, cross-trainers, rowers and exer-stations.
The facilities are part of the first phase of a £4.5m regeneration project planned for the centre. The second phase is due to begin before Christmas this year.
