Hillsborough set to open £1.3m new-look leisure centre
Hillsborough Leisure Centre is set to open on 24 October after a six month, £1.3m redevelopment programme.
It now offers a fitness area with more than 100 CV and resistance work stations and a dance and aerobic studio.
A health and beauty suite called Free will sport sunbeds, a steam room, sauna and two treatment rooms for facials, manicures, pedicures and massages.
There will also be a café bar called Leika and a cr'che.
The new facilities are an addition to the existing Beach leisure pool which has a flume slide, wave machine and separate 20m lane pool.
Manager, Richard Apps, said: 'We have developed a high standard health and leisure facility that competes with the private sector.'
