Driftwood Spa opens at Jake’s in Jamaica
A new destination spa has opened at Jake’s resort on Treasure Beach in Jamaica.
Called the Driftwood Spa and managed by Laura Henzell, it was built as a collaboration between Sally Henzell, who designed and built Jake’s itself, spa consultant Linda Hall and the Jamaican architectural firm Portico Limited.
Privately owned by the Henzell family, the spa covers 2,000sq ft (185.8sq m) and features six treatment rooms, including two open-air rooms on a coral stone deck as well as a manicure and pedicure room and a spa cabana.
Other facilities include a small meditation garden, a relaxation area, a rooftop yoga deck and a Jamaican herb garden.
Treatments will use Caribbean Essentials products and combine Western and Eastern techniques with indigenous ingredients.
The spa is primarily aimed at both men and women, from between 25 and 65 years-old.Details: islandoutpost.com
