Developments at DC Leisure
DC Leisure has unveiled plans for their latest kinetika club, which is set to open at the end of May in the Tooting Leisure Centre.
The new club, which cost around £2m, will feature the edge4 hypoxic environment, which is used for training in altitude of up to 14,000ft above sea level. The club will also provide members with Gymini, an interactive fitness management system that provides workout guidance, fitness tracking and responsive feedback.
A nightclub simulated cycling studio will feature television screens, haze machines and fans which simulate wind resistance.
'We are constantly developing our kinetika model, and our latest club in Tooting will allow us to further experiment with new and innovative products and concepts,' said group health and fitness director for DC Leisure, Howard Braband.
DC Leisure now has around 60 kinetika clubs throughout the country, with four more scheduled to open in the next few months.
Meanwhile, DC Leisure has secured contract extensions for 10 years with East Hampshire District Council, and three years with Waverley Borough Council, extending its management services to 91 sites throughout the UK. Details: +44 (0)1276 853700
