Entrepreneur Peter de Savary has announced plans to expand the Royal Golf Hotel Dornoch in the Scottish Highlands.
The refit will update the existing interior areas and reconfigure the bedrooms, as well as replace a number of buildings added to the original stone property with a conservatory more in keeping with the hotel’s heritage. A spa and meeting facilities will also be built.
The hotel – which has been closed in preparation for the refurbishment – is scheduled to reopen in spring 2008.
De Savary purchased the hotel, which is located on the first tee of the Royal Dornoch course, in late 2006.
