Bannatyne’s reaches for new heights at Tower 42 flagship
The Bannatyne Group is aiming to help city slickers stay fighting fit with the aid of its
redesigned flagship health club in London’s iconic Tower 42 building.
The company is currently lining up a £300m flotation on the stock market and appears to be eager to catch the eye of the City with its fitness proposition as well as its investment potential.
Occupying three floors in the City of London skyscraper, Bannatyne's Tower 42 has received a substantial investment as part of the Group's ongoing £16m portfolio upgrade. The club features a range of new gym kit, classes and technology, as well as the introduction of the Bannatyne app to help members monitor their progress.
“We have invested a lot in the redesign and development of Tower 42 to provide an offering that is both high quality and great value for money, as well as being right on the doorstep for thousands of city workers without the premium prices paid elsewhere,” said Bannatyne Group CEO Justin Musgrove.
“Bannatyne are dedicated to improving people’s wellbeing and opportunities and believe exercise is integral to this. Our new flagship gym is committed to help the work-life balance of those working in the City of London at a location convenient to them and with a range of facilities to suit all fitness appetites.”
As the main supplier to the Bannatyne Group, Technogym has installed its full range of free weights, resistance and cardio equipment, including new functional training solution Skillmill. There is also equipment from Wattbike, WaterRower, PowerPlate, CardioWall, StairMaster and Queenax.
The club offers a range of Les Mills Virtual classes and the brand’s Smartbar, as well as Blockfit – the new multi-disciplinary fitness class from former pop star Chico. In addition, members can monitor their heart rate across the entire club thanks to the installation of MyZone’s tracking system.
