Orbit4 announces winners of industry-wide X400 Challenge

29 Apr 2026
Overall winning team - Life Leisure / Orbit4

Orbit4 has announced the winners of its X400 Challenge, following a nationwide campaign that brought together more than 30 teams and over 100 fitness industry professionals.

Launched on National Fitness Day at Macclesfield Leisure Centre, the campaign was designed to unite operators, suppliers and fitness professionals through a shared physical challenge. It concluded with a high-energy finale at Wyndley Leisure Centre.

The fastest overall time was recorded by The Brinny Boys (Life Leisure), who secured free entry to an ATHX Games event for each team member.

Sarah Potter, fitness and group exercise 0perations manager at Life Leisure, said: “We’re delighted to have won the Orbit4 X400 Challenge with a time of 24:21. It was a real team effort, with everyone pushing each other every step of the way. Thanks to Orbit4 for delivering such a great event—we’re proud to represent Life Leisure and hope it inspires others to get involved in any future challenges.”

Additional prizes were awarded via a prize draw, recognising participation across the campaign:

  • OL1 – Oldham Active – Myzone Switch heart rate monitors (Myzone)
  • Team Daddy Long Legs & The Moth – £500 charity donation (Orbit4)
  • Everybody Four – Everybody Health & Leisure – Built for Athletes backpacks (EZ Loyalty)
  • Burnley Leisure & Culture – Adidas Dropset training shoes (ATHX)

Daniel Jones, CEO of Orbit4, said: “The X400 Challenge was created to bring the industry together through something positive, physical and collaborative. The turnout and energy at the culmination event were fantastic to see and truly epitomised what the campaign was all about.”

The campaign was supported by ATHX, EZ Loyalty and Myzone, alongside a wide range of industry partners.

Chris Timms, global sales director at EZ Loyalty, added: “Anything that brings the industry together and gets people moving is a no-brainer for us. We were delighted to support the challenge and look forward to being involved again next year—although perhaps with fewer burpees.”

Prizes will be formally presented at the Elevate fitness expo in June.
