Pulse Fitness supports RAPTC Member in achieving Bronze at European IDBF Championships

14 Oct 2024
Pulse Fitness sponsored Tracey Hetherington / Pulse Fitness / Tracey Hetherington
After meeting the Pulse Fitness team at the recent launch of its Research and Development Hub in Congleton, Pulse Fitness sponsored Tracey to help alleviate the financial concerns and provide a much-needed boost to the team’s training efforts. With the addition of a Pulse Fitness Rower, Tracey and her teammates were able to enhance their preparation for the championships, allowing them to focus entirely on their performance.

Competing against 16 countries, Tracey and her team secured Bronze medals in both the 500m and 2000m races in the Ladies Senior A category. Great Britain also achieved an impressive overall 6th place finish in the championships. These achievements were not just a testament to the team's dedication and hard work but also to the crucial support provided by Pulse Fitness.

Reflecting on the experience, Tracey expressed her heartfelt gratitude: "Words can’t express how much I appreciate the financial support Pulse Fitness provided. I couldn’t have achieved this without them. I am really looking forward to hopefully working alongside them again for the World Championships in 2025."

Looking ahead, Tracey is setting her sights even higher. She is preparing to attend trials for the Premier squad this year in Milton Keynes; an opportunity which offers members of the Senior A squad a chance to earn a place on the Premier squad for the upcoming World Cup in China. Success at these trials could propel Tracey to new heights on the international stage.

Beyond the World Cup, Tracey is also gearing up for the 17th World Dragon Boat Racing Championships, set to take place in Germany in 2025. As part of the Senior A Squad, she aims to build on her recent success and make her mark once again.

“Tracey’s commitment and motivation is inspiring and we are immensely proud to be supporting her and her team in their continued success,” says Graham White, Senior Operations Manager of Government Services at Pulse Fitness. “Having worked closely with the Ministry of Defence for the past 14 years, it is a privilege to not only provide equipment to the stations, but support ex-military personnel in their sporting endeavours.”
