Bannatyne Fitness has appointed gym equipment manufacturer Technogym to supply its remaining 62 health clubs with a total of 1,000 stations in a deal worth £3m.
It is Bannatyne second multi-million pound deal with Technogym in the past three years. The first, worth £6m, was in 2006, which involved installing cardiovascular equipment in a large proportion of Bannatyne Health Clubs across England, Scotland and Wales.
The deal also included supplying equipment to 24 LivingWell sites acquired as part of an agreement with Hilton International in 2006.
The installation of equipment as part of the latest agreement is expected to be completed by the end of 2008. Technogym will be installing its new Excite range, one of the only ranges with fully integrated televisions and entertainment systems.
