Maison Talbooth country house hotel at Dedham is set for a £1.5m revamp.
The property – owned by Milsom Hotels – will feature an outdoor swimming pool complex with a sun terrace, hot tub, covered barbecue area and summer treatment room; a tennis court; three further suites in the main house; a new breakfast/dining room and a completely new roof.
The existing Milton suite will be converted into a beauty facility featuring three treatment rooms.
Colchester Borough Council granted planning permission last year, and builders Hills of Colchester are set to start work on site in October.
Maison Talbooth will close on 1 October while the refurbishment is being carried out, reopening at the beginning of April 2008. Details: www.milsomhotels.com
