Work starts on Oxford play area refurbishment
A special event has been held by Oxford City Council (OCC) to mark the start of work on a £115,000 refurbishment of the city's Bury Knowle Park play area.
Existing play equipment at the site will be replaced with new natural timber facilities, such as a timber multi-play castle unit; toddler swings; and an inclusive slide. OCC board member for sport, play and school liaison Mark Lygo said: "We have done extensive consultation with the community and the Friends of the Park group have shown great support for the proposed design."
