PSLT strengthens Smartfit UK expertise following specialist training at Smartfit USA headquarters
PSLT Fitness Solutions has reinforced its commitment to delivering industry-leading cognitive-motor training solutions across the UK after head of healthcare solutions, Tony Barry, completed an intensive specialist training programme with the Smartfit team in the United States.
The four-day programme, held at Smartfit's US headquarters, was designed to provide an in-depth understanding of the science, application and real-world benefits of the Smartfit system. The training equips PSLT to deliver the highest standards of implementation, education and ongoing customer support to organisations across the leisure, healthcare, corporate wellbeing and active ageing sectors.
As the exclusive UK distributor for Smartfit, PSLT continues to invest in developing in-house expertise to ensure every customer receives comprehensive support from installation through to programme delivery and long-term success.
Throughout the programme, Tony explored the scientific principles that underpin Smartfit, gaining an advanced understanding of how the system combines physical activity with cognitive training to improve overall brain and body performance.
The training covered a wide range of specialist subjects including:
- Brain health and cognitive-motor dual-task training
- Executive function, attention, memory, language and processing speed
- Cognitive science and neuroscience, including neuroplasticity, cognitive reserve and cognitive flexibility

The hands-on programme also included practical training across every Smartfit operating mode, enabling Tony to confidently demonstrate, programme and support the system for customers throughout the UK.
