Third Space keeps the bar high with The Whiteley launch
Third Space has launched its 14th club at The Whiteley, London. The prestigious site is set within a Grade II listed building near London’s Hyde Park.
Facilities span three floors, topped with a bespoke glass dome. “Third Space at The Whiteley is an opportunity for us to bring all of our latest concepts to life in a stunning setting,” says Third Space CEO, Colin Waggett. “From Hyrox to contrast therapy, from combat to reformer and from Olympic lifting to recovery zones the club has it all.
“Design is about function and form, so we have tried to make sure this club will excite the training enthusiast and the style guru in equal measures.”
The premium operator is now on site with additional clubs in Chelsea, Paternoster Square and Queens Park, all of which will open in 2026. “There will also be major investment and extension projects at Soho and Islington,” says Waggett. “Our ambition is to ensure as we strive for best in class at all of our new openings and the established clubs equally benefit from innovations, with cold therapy being rolled out as we speak and new strength concepts being developed.
“Having launched our recovery membership incorporating red light, cryotherapy and vibroacoustic therapy at Canary Wharf this year we will be expanding this concept to more clubs. Members are demanding more and we are finding ways to give them more.”
Facilities at The Whiteley comprise an extensive gym offering a three-lane track, functional rig, free weights, an Elite cardio area and Technogy and Woodway treadmills.
There are fives studios: the 24-person cycle studio has IC7 bikes; a range of combat and martial arts will be offered in the combat studio which has a boxing rail with eight punch bags; there’s a 30-person HIIT studio; a 32-person Mind & Body studio for yoga, barre, meditation, and sound baths and a 19-person reformer Pilates studio.
The wet spa, which opens in March, offers an 18-metre, UV filtered pool, a hydrotherapy pool with underwater massage jets, an ice bath (4 to 8 degrees C), a dry Finnish sauna, a Loyly sauna, steamroom and day beds. The dedicated recovery zone has stretching areas, Normatec recovery boots, Hyperice Hypervot, Hypersphere and Vyper vibrating foam rollers. Further to this, physiotherapy and sports massage is offered
There is also a stylish members lounge and luxury changing rooms.
