Supporters' trust 'lifeline' for Plymouth Argyle
Plymouth Argyle Football Club (PAFC) has been handed a lifeline after a supporters' trust agreed to provide a short-term mortgage on its Home Park stadium.
The npower League One club is due before the High Court on 9 February after HM Revenue and Customs issued a winding up order with regards to an unpaid tax bill. However, Plymouth Argyle Supporters Training and Development Trust (PASTDT) has now stepped in to assist PAFC following month-long negotiations.
A PASTDT spokesperson said: "Plymouth Argyle Supporters Training and Development Trust is pleased to announce that, following an opportunity to invest in Home Park Stadium, the trust has agreed to provide a short-term mortgage secured on Home Park Stadium."
