Sony workers get active
Employees at Sony UK are getting fit for business after the company teamed up with Bridgend County Borough Council.
The company has given each of its employees a free Bridge Card, enabling access to health and fitness facilities at all of the local authority's leisure centres in Bridgend.
The move is part of a company-wide strategy aimed at improving the health of all Sony employees irrespective of their position or function.
"We believe that employee health and wellbeing is of paramount importance both to our staff and to the continued success of our business, says Steve Dalton, managing director of Sony UK.
"This feedback we've received from our employees had been very encouraging and I look forward to building on this exciting initiative in the future."
The company has also recently supported a Sports Council for Wales-funded scheme to encourage more youngsters to exercise by installing PS2 games consoles on exercise bikes in gyms across Bridgend.
