Sixty per cent of REPs members at level three
For the first time more than 60 per cent of all members of the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) are now at level 3 and the number of provisional members has fallen to an all-time low of 15 per cent.
The number of members qualified to work in exercise referrals increased by 40 per cent in just 12 months and with the continued high level of compliance with CPD requirements these are all seen as encouraging trends which help improve professionalism of the industry.
The current database on 30 April was 23,908 and is at the highest level so far recorded.
REPs will be asking all of its members in a national survey to comment on the jobs they do to see if qualifications and training currently being offered really give the skills they need to work in the industry.
