SALTO Gymnastics Club in Luton has expanded its present facilities to include a dedicated youth gym.
The £100,000 facility features a full range of
cardiovascular equipment, including water rowers, treadmills, group exercise bikes and cross trainers, supplied by youth fitness supplier SHOKK.
The equipment is aimed at children aged eight to 18. Instruction is delivered by a fully qualified fitness professional who is always on hand with advice on exercise, nutrition, diet and health.
A large viewing gallery overlooking the main gymnastics training area has also been incorporated.
Carl Richardson, trustee and MD of charity operator SALTO Youth Fitness, said: “We believe passionately in the positive effect that activity and exercise can have on children.
"The youth gym will extend our appeal to a broader range of local youngsters and promote the health benefits of physical activity. Since opening in June, we have attracted more than 150 new youngsters to the facility.”
