Revamp for Heathfield Park
Heathfield Park on Basford, Nottingham, is to undergo a £400,000 redevelopment.
Funded jointly by the National Lottery Play fund and Nottingham City Council, the regeneration work will include the adding of multi-use games areas to the site, as well as replacing outdated and poorly maintained play equipment.
Councillor Dave Trimble, portfolio holder for Leisure, Culture and Communities, hopes to have the park's new facilities open to the public by April 2009.
"Thousands of local people will benefit from the improvements being made and the updated facilities will be there to help residents use for years to come," he said.
