New sports pavilions opened in East Lothian
East Lothian Council (ELC) has unveiled five new and one refurbished community sports pavilions as part of a £2.7m scheme part-funded by sportscotland.
New pavilions have been built to replace dilapidated facilities in Longniddry; Prestonpans and Olivebank, while Haddington has also benefited from a new-build venue. Facilities at Lewisvale Park have been rebuilt after substantial fire damaged forced a former structure to be demolished. Portakabin has delivered the facilities on behalf of ELC.
ELC cabinet member for community wellbeing Ruth Currie said: "The new pavilions provide an invaluable addition for community and sports groups across the county."
