New owner for Chester City
Chester City Football Club (CCFC) has secured a new owner after administrators Refresh Recovery accepted an offer from Chester City 2004 Ltd to safeguard the club's future.
The Cheshire club, which was relegated from the Football League for the second time in nine years at the end of the 2008-09 season, entered voluntary administration in May after encountering financial difficulties. However, the Chester Chronicle reported that CCFC's creditors have accepted a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) that has enabled the club to be taken out of administration.
