New online tool released to help cut waste and increase profitability
Businesses could save up to £1,000 per employee following the release of a new training tool that looks to help cut waste and increase profitability.
The On Course for Zero Waste tool, provided by WRAP – the circular economy and resource efficiency experts – is available online and gives businesses access to free training modules, templates, case studies and other material – all supported with a telephone helpline.
Through its website, WRAP is also providing businesses with the chance to enhance employee CVs, while two certificates accredited by the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management will be available.
The materials can be found through WRAP’s online Business Resource Efficiency Hub, which also provides access to a range of other material to enable small and medium sized businesses to develop the skills required to prevent waste and save money.
“Businesses that improve their resource efficiency can play a pivotal role in delivering economic growth and environmental benefits to the UK,” said Carl Nichols, Head of Business and Markets at WRAP.
“Our comprehensive range of tools can help companies in England grab a slice of the £23bn of total savings available if UK businesses improve resource efficiency, while also helping to create and protect jobs.”
Included in these features is a Rippleffect support package to help improve water efficiency and a Green Town interactive tour with sector specific tips to show how companies can reduce waste.
