New men's head coach for British Handball
Dragan Djukic, former head coach of the Jordanian and Macedonian national handball teams, has been appointed by the British Handball Association as its new men's team head coach.
The 47-year-old Serbian, who was also involved with the Swiss coaching team, aims to transform the fortunes of the British men's handball team ahead of the London 2012 Olympics, despite the sport being one of eight to have its funding cut earlier this year. Djukic said: "I believe everything is possible with ambition and determination. All the players have both those attributes, but more than that we have to develop our own style of play which can't be copied by Balkan teams, or Far East teams, or European teams."
