Northumberland National Park Authority (NNPA) has launched a draft plan detailing its vision for the future management of the 405sq miles (1,049sq km) national park.
The new draft management plan has been drawn up to ensure that the park will be preserved and enjoyed for the next 20 years, including measures to address the effects of climate change and ways to attract more visitors to the area.
NNPA is now inviting local residents and park users to have their say on the plan, which also coincides with the 60th anniversary of the first Countryside Act responsible for the establishment of National Parks in post-war Britain.
Public consultation events will also be held over the next few weeks in nearby towns, including Alnwick, Morpeth and Hexham, in a bid to ensure as many people as possible are given the chance to comment on the plan.
